being home and catching up...

*because they grow up.

I've been fortunate enough to be home a lot lately. it has its pro's and cons. one pro is everything, one con is no work. but when home i try to hang out with people and do fun things.

lately, one of my favorite activities is cooking meals with emily. here is taco night...

taco's make us happy.

so does netflix.

i did a fun show with M.O.M (men of mort)...

what a nice bunch of fun, funny, sweet, caucasian men.

i also got to see t-dog. t-dog was my boss when i worked in an office type setting. she was a super cool boss and a close friend. she's a knitter and a blogger. her is the point in the universe where the two collide www.everywhereknitting.blogspot.com.

whenever she is in town we eat at "handlebar" restaurant. she is a vegetarian (gross) and they specialize in that type of cuisine(gross). i like their biscuits and gravy breakfast platter because it taste nothing like vegetables (not gross). don't get me wrong, i like vegetables...when they are smothered in delicious meats.

here's t-dog and i...

even when we are home we still try to get some work done. here is drew while we were filming a bit. that big monster foot is a prop we used, an actual prop...

i got to hang out with john f. thompson (aka-jft) and his wife libby. this didn't take place in chicago but it still runs with the theme of friends...

john was always one of the funnest people to play with. he now resides in rochester ny (www.visitrochester.com). if you are a hitman looking for john i think i have supplied enough info. (his social is 067-29-4236)

my mom came to visit me in chicago on her way to pheonix az. i love my mom, she's great. in this picture she is showing me that chicago has a lake. supposably it is "great"...

i thought it was just alright. frankly, i can't believe i missed it all these years. thanks mom.

whenever my mom is in town, or when we have traveled to other places, we walk a lot. she's a really good walker. i think i'm pretty good at it but not as good as she. one of these days i will catch up to you mother.

here she is in millenium park...

later that day we went to go see a show at park west. the funniest part was when emily and i witnessed some dude hit on my mom. his closer, which was awesome, was "this is my wife." as he raised an eyebrow.

and the dogs, the wonderful wonderful dogs.

here's victor...

and of course jockey, oh how i miss you so much...

one night i went and shot pool at the local bar. i got to hang out with my two favorite ladies...

*hmo

and

*emily

it was a lot of fun...sorta.

easter also happened. julie invited me up to her parents house for dinner. it was really nice of her and made for a perfect easter.

here's julie in the kitchen with her mom and mackie. she totally seems to be having the time of her life...

bill was getting super hammered and making little wooden planes for his nephews in-law...

unfortunately i shit my pants while in a bunny suit...

and finally i went to my first cubs game. 8 years here and never stepped foot in the place...

it was a beautiful day in wrigleyville. we only really watched 3 innings of the game because in the shade it was quite chilly. if you were with us here's what you would have seen...

the vendors were really funny. at one point the old beer guy was taking his sweet, almost slow motion time. the rookie was like "you are taking to long." at that point he sat right on the steps in between the aisles of seats and just waited...

holy shit!!! he really did that.

one of the things that i did not like about wrigleyfield was the pissing situation. the bathrooms were lined with trouths. i'm super pee shy so it would take me 7 minutes to pee. the walls were only five feet tall in the mediums too, so people would talk to you while pissing. this really would set things back mentally, adding 3 minutes to the whole process. i pee'd 4 times while i was there.

here's a picture of mike and i and my newly acquired cubs hat...

what a nice day...

go baseball???

humping history...

alternate titles were...

"america...through my eyes."

"my balls!"

"i hope my mother does not read my blog."

we do a lot of sight seeing while on the road. its one of the jobs best perks. that and smelling other peoples farts while trapped in a van.

i love lincoln, so you could imagine my excitement going to the "lincoln-douglas debate" site...

actyually, this was just a statue of it. the actual site was 20 feet to the left...

but still drew and i took a picture by the statue...

i also humped a cannon...

but the cannon was not having it.

lincoln rocks...in so many ways...

we also went to the birth place of cereal, cereal city...

i acted like tony the tiger...

it was sortaaaaa ooooookkkkk!

they wanted to make me into a cereal...

not cool cereal city.

keeping with the cereal theme we went to niagara falls...

wowey...

wow...

wow!!! canada looks amazing...

the statue of nikola tesla loved adam...

but treated me like a common whore...

all in all we took a picture together...

classic case of four guys taking a picture together at niagara falls.

this type of shit gets me real angry...

close to niagara falls is rochester NY...

www.visitrochester.com

in rochester is the home of susan b. anthony. "she be currency yo!!!"

this is not her house...

five minutes later we realized that.

this is her house...

rochester is also where the "northstar" started, frederick douglas's newspaper.

that's frederick douglas and susan b. anthony having tea...

it was a beautiful tea party. and of course ended in an orgy...

you guys...oh and sorry, you girls too...

and what's with black guys and always wanting to cuddle after...

also in rochester NY...

www.visitrochester.com

was george eastman's, founder of the eastman kodak company, house.

it was the patrick ewing of houses...

this rochester native told me that at one point eastman's pianist said the acoustics were off because of the houses location. eastman actually got a crew to lift the house and move it 9 feet back in the lot for better sound quality. it ended up costing more than building the actual house. RESPECT george eastman...RESPECT...

holy fuck !!! i totally forgot i had a blog...

so before i left for the road again emily and i decided to bowl. it was great.

she won one...

and looked cute doing so...

i won one...

she started drinking...

now was my time to move in. i had a rocket it my pocket ready to explode...

seriously,...it was really uncomfortable. the worst part was it totally diverted attention from my penis.

we decided to quit then so our skills remained equal. although i thought i was way better.

the next day we rolled out to st. louis for a show. from what i remember (since it was a while ago)(and i smoke weed anywhere between consistently to a lot) it was fine. fun even. what i do remember is our trip to the city museum of st. louis...

www.citymuseum.org

check out the awesomeness that is...

*you could climb all up in that.

*and that.

you could even climb all up in that...

*that's drew refusing to believe he's all stuck up in that.

they also had one of those "big boys" that you could vent aggression and anger on...

*my foot was all up in that.

here is a picture of stu and adam climbing. this "jungle gym" type portion was 5 stories in the air...

drew and i shared a special moment and came incredibly close to joining the 57' high club...

*special moment.

adult sized ball pit...

with adult sized themes...

straight up and no shit they had a seven story tall slide. it was the funnest slide i have ever been on. totally chumping the 6' high one i use to frequent during lunch time at john jay park in fourth grade...

here it is...

*keep feet tucked in for maximum speed.

here's a super gay picture preserving how childish the "most bad ass museum i have been to in this country" made me feel...

and of course we went to "the arch"...

it was actually pretty breathtaking at night.

and hair shaping too...

this picture made me think of scott...

*for obvious reasons.
